Grin Affair : Keep Smiling With The Cakes In A Jar!

I am sure everyone grins when it comes to desserts, and even if you are full, there will always be another tummy just for that.
Am I right?
With more cafes clustered around Outram/Tanjong Pagar area, it is not tough to find yet another sweet spot for all.
Grin Affair is one of the few that I have heard about years ago and is still successful up till now.
And there may be an upcoming outlet in Bishan area this year (which is nearer to me!), with a completely new menu!
Do check on their the official/facebook page for more updates! ^^
If all else fails, contact them via phone!
And here we are!
It looks like the cafe is having a little tea party!
Please be gentle.
Welcoming you with colours that are pleasing to the eye.
I was quite surprised at the layout of the cafe because I thought they only provided take-away ( which was not the case!).
There is ample space available for around 20-30 pax.
And I simply love the unpretentious interior.
It is very cosy and will be just the right place for you to chill out with your friends after a meal.
Cute little descriptive notes to help you understand what flavours they offer!
I had a hard time choosing one because everything looked just as yummy.
There is a total of thirteen flavour to choose from!
Or else, you can opt for the delivery : http://order.grinaffair.com/ where there are special editions for Valrhona Chocolate lovers out there!
Brought these cute darlings home in a full grin!
Tadahhhh~
In the end, I made up my mind on Banoffee ($6) & Cookies & Cream ($6)!
Cookies & Cream is self explanatory and so, what is Banoffee?
It consists of banana slices with coffee cake on baked crust, dulce de leche & pecans.
And this is also the only one that has coffee element in it, which is just nice for le mister.
Dulce de leche is a Spanish term that means candy of milk or milk jelly which is a combination of milk and sugar that will be cooked until the sugar caramelizes, producing a thick, creamy and intensely flavored spread.

Look at the pretty packaging!
Can I just emphasize on how ingenious the idea of having a cake in such a container?!
And it's really hassle-free if you wish to bring it around.
You need not worry about how the cake will turn out not looking like one after surviving through the crowd here in Singapore.
And my verdict after tasting them?
101 % Awesomeness!
The price paid is also reasonable for the portion given.
I really wouldn't mind traveling back just to try out the rest of the flavours!
Oh! And last but not least, you can recycle the jars by returning them.
For every jar returned, you will be given a sticker.
When you reach a number of stickers, you will be entitled to one free treat!
Hee, tea party just ended!
Thanks for reading, folks!
