Adult: $58.80++
Children (below age 12 years old): $43.80++
Beverages are charged separately.
There were approximately 9 pax at our table and therefore, we get to try more food items!
YAY!
Note: Pardon the photo quality as some were taken using Iphone and the others with DSLR (in which were also edited by yours truly)!
The best way to kick start a meal - Salmon Sashimi!!!
We ordered alot more of this!
Oh and ordering is fairly simple, just tick the ones you want to order and hand the paper to the waiter.
Be sure to tell them your order again or they might mix up orders and you will prolly end up having 3 repeated same dish on your table. Haha!

Some Smoked Duck Breast perhaps?
(Credits: Joanne)
Mini Octopus.
Broad Bean with Vermicelli and Black Fungus.
Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk.
Definitely a must-try!!!
Deep-fried Spring Rolls!
Quite tasty, I love it!
Braised Shark's Fin with Fish Maw.
Am not a fan of Shark's Fin here so I gave it to Mister.
He said it was not bad.
Sorry if my photo didn't do any justice, it was the best I could capture.
To the mains!
Deep-fried Seabass with Soy Light Sauce!
This was so bombass, definitely recommending you to try this!
Steamed Red Tilapia with Spicy Bean Sauce.
That sauce though!
Fried Beancurd Cube and French Beans with Sambal Sauce.
I felt that the combo was a bit dry.
(Credits: Joanne)
Poached Baby 'Kai Lan', served with Chinchalok sauce.
Poached Prawns with Herbal Soup!
Love the soup! ^^
(Credits: Joanne)
You can opt for this version too!
Deep-fried Prawns with Crispy Oats.
Probably one of my favorite dish of all times, not mainly the prawns but the crispy oats!
Who is with me??!
Have to say the shrimps were pretty fresh too!
Sauteed Sliced Beef with Honey Black Pepper Sauce!
And the long awaited - Fried Carrot Cake and Sausage With Spicy X.O Sauce!
Must-try!
Crisp-fried Pork Ribs with Orange Sauce.
Decent but nothing extraordinary.
Green Mussels with Chef's Spicy Sauce!
(only one serving per table)
Very fresh!!!
When you see these deep-fried man tous, you know it's about time for.......
Tung Lok Chilli Crab!!!
(only one serving per table)
By then, we were all really full and decided to go for the desserts instead!
There are five items on the desserts menu to choose from!
We went with two because that was our limit. Haha!
Couldn't resist the Ice Cream puffs!
A photo of Chilled Almond Beancurd to end off this post!
Verdict : Worth it!
Forty three items on the menu to choose from, I find it reasonable for the price paid!
To think it is also conveniently located in town, so why not!?

Special Entry : Dedicated to Clicknetwork - Catalunya Sundays Brunch!

So sorry guys, this space has been neglected for way too long and I can't stand it.
I am back to update yall on my recent foodie journeys!
(Although this post should be updated ages ago. Oops!)
I still remember myself being all excited for this particular one, because I'd won a dining voucher from Clicknetwork for the very first time!
I wanted to save this Catalunya voucher for my mister's birthday, but the schedule was quite tight back then.
So we decided to keep it till my birthday which happens in March!
(FYI: Catalunya is hidden in the dome of The Fullerton Pavilion)
So here we are, ready for our first Spanish brunch experience!
Anyway, on the voucher letter, they claimed that the whole brunch program will last from 12.30pm to 4pm.
My first reaction was: "WHATTTT? Are you kidding me?"
But after the experience, I finally understand how clever this arrangement was.
Alright, too much introduction!
Now to the food!
Sunday Brunch Menu *click to view larger image*
First off, the wonderful spread of food, buffet-style.
Stews were served here.
A pity there was only the beef option, which wasn't really to my liking.
There are way more food than just the ones I took above.
The restaurant was slowly amassing quite a crowd and the food area started to form a queue (didn't want to cause a scene).
And by around 1pm, the restaurant seemed to be full house!
We too, finally sat down to enjoy our food.
Typical Singaporean's table in a buffet spread scene.
Hahahaa! Already full of food (really fortunate we got a huge round table for ourselves)!
Spanish Omelette which includes three layers of ingredients.
First layer on top is potato foam, followed by egg yolk and onion at the bottom.
This was also featured in the video on Irene Ang's foodporn channel on Clicknetwork.
Personally, I think this is really an interesting twist to the traditional dish.
This dish tends to be on the saltier side, I will recommend you to mix all the ingredients up before indulging.
Estrellados which basically are eggs (scrambled or fried option available) on a bed of potatoes and mushrooms (ham and chorizo option available).
What is there not to love about eggs and potatos and EGGS?!!!
Bikini Sandwich, one of my favourite!
The Iberico ham with the combination of cheese and truffle is just way too heavenly to resist.
Super flavorful for a sandwich!
I have no idea why sashimi is available but oh well, who cares when there are slices of salmon and hamachi!
Around 2-3pm (can't remember the exact timing), this is where the fun part began!
Suddenly, the background music turned one volume up and a carnival-styled piece was being played.
We were all caught off guard and were turning heads to see what was happening.
To our amazement, it was the presentation that we were informed about earlier on.
And to be honest, we had no idea until then!
No photos or whatsoever because we were seated at the wrong angle for photo taking.
Anyways, the first speciality dish served was the catch of the day!
In which a waiter was seen dancing to the vibrant music and preparing the catch for all the diners.
Hola!
Every table was served a sample dish.
Of course, you can also ask for more portions if you think it is not enough.
I tried my best in capturing the dish though, so sorry.
The meat has this sweet aftertaste which I really love and the olive oil that was added just lifted the freshness of the catch to the next level.
This is really really good!
Next up, Seafood Paella!
If you love Spanish seafood paella, this may just suit your taste buds!
The rice has this seductive aroma of both the lobsters and other seafood added, I can't help but wallop the whole thing!
This wasn't shown on the menu itself but I guess it's also one of the specialities!
Dayum, they really do know how to cook their potatoes man!
Hahaha!
The highlight of the day turned out to be our disappointment in short.
It was the Suckling Pig "Segovan Style"!
Unfortunately, we were served the ears and what I supposed to be the skull part.
It wasn't appetizing at all though we did have a taste of the crispy part.
While preparing for this dish, we witnessed the throwing of plates culture as well, which wasn't that bad afterall.
...
Time for some sweets and cakes!
Two super adorable Caucasians led the whole team behind whom was seen carrying trays of desserts to the buffet area.
Finally waited till this very moment!
There was quite a number of desserts placed on the table but no descriptions in such case.
So we just took whatever looked nice (and of course, instagram worthy)to us!
Managed to choose these four!
To be honest, we were really really full when it was desserts time.
But as usual, the second tummy calls out for another sweet serving willingly!
My favourite has got to be this.
Burger Macaron!!!
Super shiok, I think it has the filling of dark chocolate if I am not wrong.
Last photo before leaving the place!
In conclusion, I enjoyed my brunch experience at Catalunya and the food was definitely above average.
The lively atmosphere and the creative presentation left a deep impression on me.
So head down to experience yours today!
Last but not least, Irene Ang's experience as shown in VIDEO.
I would like to sincerely thank Clicknetwork once again for this opportunity!
Stay foodie everyone!

The Quarters : The Unforgettable Salted Egg Fries

Easily accessible from the Tanjong Pagar MRT station, it is not tough to find a cafe in a mall nowadays.
The Quarters is actually located just beside Icon Village, at a building called Altez (via the extension from Icon Village).
You can find the Two Men Bagel House and Sumire Yakitori in the same building as well.
The Quarters uses a simple layout that every cafe has been accustomed to, a cashier/counter table, as well as the main dining area.
Keeping everything at its minimal.
Serving you the Papa Palheta caffeine fix!
A mini variety of cakes on display.
Choose one to accompany your cuppa maybe?
Lunch sets are available too, which include an appetiser and main dish plus beverage!
Menu!
Love the tagline of, "Asian Flavours, Local Perspective".
I've always liked the idea of fusion, it's something where you can see how the chef creates an innovative dish of art right before your very eyes.
Although this could also mean that there are many risks in doing so, as some would prefer the typical kind of food.
All prices at nett price.
So how did The Quarters fair? (In my own opinion)
Let's find out!
Iced Mocha ($6)
Hot Mocha (ala carte - $5.30)
I took the lunch set, Ooh la la ($14.80) and topped up an additional of $2 for my cuppa.
The mocha portion was just right and it tasted decent.
Fries with Salted Egg Dip ($7.60), the highlight of the meal!
The salted egg aioli was stupendously addictive!
Mister and I just couldn't stop snatching the little sauce plate from one another.
Suggestion : UPGRADE THE SAUCE PORTION!
Or sell it.
I think I could use a rice bowl as a sauce plate to dip any food in sight. HAHA!
Just kidding.
Ooh La La (ala carte - $16).
Simply clams and linguine.
It was a tad too dry and really bland for a pasta dish.
Even though, I know I should expect lesser from a lunch set combo, but I really regretted ordering this.
So I ended up only finishing one quarter of the pasta.
Chic Chick.
Nothing much to shout about, just normal karaage style chicken.
Although the dash of belachan was quite shiok.
Mister ordered his favourite waffles for lunch again.
Wonderffle ($9.50), with two scoops of pandan ice cream and waffle drizzled in Gula Melaka sauce.
Hatter Street 's version won hands down as compared to this in my opinion.
But the waitress was kind enough to change the original order of one scoop of lemongrass ice cream to pandan.
Do drop me a comment if any of you tried the waffle with Lemongrass ice cream, cause' we don't fancy that.
This looks like a complete meal that I am having.
LOL
I am a glutton but not like that!
In conclusion, I guess the salted egg dip won stellar ratings from me and the rest faired average.
I was too full to consume anything else but I would definitely make a trip back to try the signature Duriancanboleh (Durian Creme Bulee)!
