Have a Sweet Tooth at Tai-Parfait!

Found this kawaii Japanese Dessert Shop at the basement of Bugis Junction.
The basement underwent a major renovation which now houses many more new dining options like the Paris Baguette, LeNu, Yellow Submarines, Awesome Coffee & Kotsujiru Nabe etc.
Currently, Tai-Parfait (originated from Tokyo) has only one outlet here in Bugis Junction.
Look at the logo of the shop, cute eh?
You can never miss out this store if you happen to pass by.
The much well- known Taiyaki (which is my favourite) has transformed itself into a seemingly Parfait-like dessert in which ice cream, fruits and various toppings can be added.
For those who are unsure what Taiyaki is....
Taiyaki is a Japanese pancake that is filled with Azuki red bean paste, commonly in the shape of a fish.
The concept is pretty simple and there is a really wide range of fillings and toppings to choose from.
For more information on what the flavours are, take a look here! :-
***Check out the Halloween flavours too!***
I chose the Strawberry Chocolate Tai-Parfait ($5.50) served w Chocolate Ice Cream & Matcha filling.
Wanted to try the Matcha, so I lumped everything together.
My 'parfait' turned out a little messy because the strawberry didn't want to stay on top.
When the staff handed it over, it kind of 'slipped' off the top.
Well, nvm!
Because there is always another side!
Now you can see the chocolate ice cream eh?
I like how the pancake was made, it was crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside, just like how a perfect Taiyaki should be.
The chocolate ice cream was really good as well!
Overall, my verdict is that if I have a craving, then I would pay a re-visit.
To be honest, I think the price could be lowered.
An almost $6 could get me a decent meal instead of a dessert like this.
But I guess this all stems from the rental, the brand as well as the ingredients used for the Tai-Parfait.
Afterall, this is only my opinion (Just a commoner who loves food here, hee).
Try it, and let me know yours!
