Perhaps some Churros Waffles from Roosevelt's Diner & Bar?

If you are lazy to walk around Tanjong Pagar/Outram and you are trying to locate a meal spot, why not try Roosevelt's Diner & Bar?
(which is just at exit H, of the purple line, Outram Park station)
Roosevelt's is a modern diner that offers all-day dining with a variety of food choices!
And I love how these industrial chic furniture pieces are chosen.

Where you can spot : a series of lightbulbs used as a decorative statement piece...
"mismatched" yet cool combination of chairs...
a brick backwall at the counter area...
wall menu for tonight...
and several other art canvas that are being hung up on the respective walls!
An extensive spread of menu choices to choose from!

It looks like I am having this glorious spread all to myself (again), but no!
Latte ($4.80)
Truffle Fries ($11)
I thought the fries were average, nothing to shout about.
The portion was rather small for the amount paid.
But still, cravings were satisfied.
Egg Roosevelt ($17) consists of two poached eggs, chorizo, lemon garlic mayo (which pretty much is just mayo), and mashed potato.
I find this dish a tad too dry and the combination of ingredients didn't blend well much together.
The mayo didn't work good as a sauce with the eggs too.
I would prefer hollandaise sauce instead of mayo a thousand times.
Fortunately, the mashed potato tasted alright.
Initially, I was caught in between whether to get this or the Jalapeno Bacon & Truffle Mac & Cheese.
So I kinda did regret not ordering the Mac & Cheese. :o
Next up!
Dessert time!!!
Churros Waffles ($12) with cinnamon sugar, butter and mocha sauce!!!
Look at how the mocha sauce works on the waffles, and those are CHURROS waffles (to remind you again).
Le foodie partner getting ready to dig in the plate of goodness.
Fan of churros + waffles?
Come try it now!!!
Another cuppa from le partner's friend who happened to be working here at Roosevelt's.
.
Verdict : Maybe some Mac & Cheese upon next visit?!
.
With my crazyass makan partner of the day!
Signing off, folks!
Stay foodie!!! ^^

Happy 3 Bites : Pets Friendly Cafe

If you are looking for another hang-out spot for you and your furry friend, you may want to check out Happy 3 Bites Cafe!
Well, I guess there are many more options but I've only been to two of which I know are pets friendly.
You can check out the previous post I wrote on Sun Ray Cafe.
Everton Park is a neighbourhood estate where you can find a number of cafes altogether at the shophouses below.
With just a 5-minutes walk from the Outram Park Station, Exit G (walking pass the Police Cantonment Complex), you will get to your destination in no time!
I think it's better if you search the Google maps to locate the blocks, because it can be quite a maze around here.
A really cozy cafe but with a limited seating capacity.
How thoughtful of them!
Didn't managed to see any customers bringing their pets though.
But we were invited by the friendly waitress who told us that there will be an event the next day where we can get to see more pets like the chinchilla, birds, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and etc.
Do check out the facebook page every now & then!
The menu.

Ice Mocha ($5.50)
In my own opinion, I thought the cuppa could do a better job and not taste like a mix of mocha powder spam.
Mister likes it though.
Wala!
My order of Fish 'N' Chips ($15.90)!
For me, I prefer the fish fillet to be of a thin layer of crisp instead of the thick batter that leads me into thinking whether I am having starch or fish,
Fortunately, this fish fillet is so well done and so crispy that I savoured the whole fillet within seconds.(Ha, how exaggerating!)
And these chips!
I love the selection of herbs and spices used to their maximum to bring out the flavour of the potatoes.
Thumbs up!
My 16 bucks is definitely well spent.
Chicken Cutlet ($14.90) for my #alwaysinachickencutletfrenzyboyfriend.
Undoubtedly one of the better chicken cutlets we had ever tasted.
The fries are dope as well.
Be sure to dip the sauce!
I love the red sauce which tasted half bbq and half chilli, it was quite tasty when it went along with the fries.
So try it!
Spotted a house pet near the entrance!
It chirps every now and then, and will give you attention when you do the same.
Super cute!
P/s : I visited three places that day.
Do stay tune for more updates!
Thanks folks!

The Assembly Ground Review

Another dining option has been added to your list if you are around town area!
Just footsteps away from the mrt station, you can easily find The Assembly Ground which is located at The Cathay.
A casual cafe located in the mall with spacious seating capacity.
I didn't have to wait for long before I was shown to a table (which is good!)
Love the long counter area where potted plants are placed as visuals.
Some wise words on the wall.
"All good times in life are meant to be shared."
"Drink coffee everyday and read a good book."
Ahhh, isn't that life?
Menu!
Some floral decor for your "photoshoot"?
Note taken and here is my Mocha ($6) for the day.
Nothing much to shout about but still a decent cuppa.
Green Tea Latte ($5.50).
Overwhelm your tastebuds with the power of Matcha.
Here comes our appetizers!
Popcorn Chicken ($9).
Bite size chicken at your heart's content before the real deal comes.
Fried Calamari ($13).
The portion was alright but I still think we are paying abit too much for this.
Undoubtedly crispy and juicy octopus tho.
Truffle Fries ($10).
The truffle smell could be a little more intense.
Roast Beef Melt ($16)
Not a fan of beef but the cheese does look good.
There are three more alternatives to choose from!
Eggs Zoey ($17), your brunch cravings satisfied when it is already dinner time.
Well, but to be truthful, I would not pay the amount for this as there were no side dishes that come along with it.
You can try The Assembly Brunch ($19.50) which is one of the recommended items on the Menu.
I think that would be more worth the money.
Overall, the caffeine and food were alright.
If you are finding a cafe in town to settle your meal, this could be one of them!

The Missing Pan Review

Finally another update after so long.
So sorry to keep this space frozen at June. Hee.
I have so many more updates to share with you guys!
Anyways, cut the crap and here is an update for July.
This is located just footsteps away from the Coronation Shopping Plaza.
We took a bus after alighting at the Botanical Gardens station.
Upon reaching, you will be greeted by a showcase of delicious pastries.
Already tempted to start off my meal with a slice of these sweets.
Oh god. Hehe.
Initially, we were offered a seat at the first level, which was empty with no customers.
We didn't know the second level was already full house!
Well, since we traveled all the way here, might as well wait for a table upstairs right?
We were in luck because shortly after, the waiter told us they have a table ready for us!
While waiting, saw this interesting piece of whisk chandelier hung in the middle of the cafe.
I like!
And this is the small ass lift which can only fit at the most four people?
Any amount more than that, it's gonna be a really awkward ride.
Was surprised upon arriving at our table, fooled by the emptiness at level one.
All tables were packed with people from all ages.
Mostly families and couples.
Part of the Mains Menu.
The beverages menu.
You can view the clearly pdf version over here :
http://www.themissingpan.com/menus/brunch-menu.pdf
Mister's Iced Mocha ($6.50) as usual.
And my Cafe Latte ($5.50) craving fixed.
Quite impressive I would say.
Mister's Over Hangover ($19) which includes the generous portion of chicken schnitzel, slices of bacon, sunny-side eggs on sourdough and fries.
It looks bloody photogenic eh?
Just by looking at it, I guess all the meat lovers are drooling already.
Mister really loved it but he got a serious "hangover" after that.
Fatness overloadedededed.
And of course, how can we leave out the eggs on a Brunch session?
What I ordered, 62 Degree Eggs Benedict w Smoked Salmon ($22).
BAM!
Look at the presentation!
Not only are they pleasant to the eye, everything tasted just as nice too.
I thought it was really well done with the combination of salmon, poached eggs and the dash of avocado.
Our really really satisfying brunch session thanks to The Missing Pan! ^^
#oncloudninehuin
We were too full for any space for desserts.
But I would love to try the French Toast Salpicon if I happened to visit again!
