Miam Miam Review : Yum Yum desserts!

It has been awhile since the opening of this French-Japanese restaurant at Bugis Junction.
Miam Miam also means "Yum yum" in French.
There are currently two outlets in Singapore.
One is located at Bugis Junction and the other at Westgate.
It was a Monday night and the restaurant was relatively packed.
And we were told that everyone should turn up as a group in order to enter and have our seats.
And do take note that they don't take reservations.
Hence, there was a short queue outside (because people are waiting for their company).
There were six of us and we were seated at the far end.
I like its open air concept which was situated in the middle of the shops (just beside BHG).
Ambience was casual, love how they used the wooden white chairs which fitted right into place.
We had to wait more than half an hour for our dishes and we were starving. ):
In the end, we hurried the desserts to be served together as well, or else we gonna finish our meal at 10pm.
Mister loves coffee which was why he chose this.
Iced Coffee($5++), brewed the old fashioned way, hand-dripped.
Yup, this is as it is, nothing much.
Well, at least to the both of us.
I decided on Matcha Hot Chocolate ($7.80).
On first thought, the combination sounds interesting, and I am a big fan of Matcha and Hot Chocolate.
Since I can have the best of both worlds, why not try?
Fortunately, I wasn't disappointed.
The matcha taste was much more overwhelming and richer than the chocolate but all was good.
Riz Au Curry ($14.80).
Who doesn't love curry baked rice!?
Except that this version includes pork frankfurters, broccoli cheese and egg!
Oh, shiok.
What I ordered.
Modern Yaki ($14.80) aka inspired by Modanyaki.
This version is a mixture of pasta aglio olio sauteed w cabbage and shimeiji mushrooms, and topped with an omelette.
If you like modanyaki, you will find this quite an refreshing idea.
Fellow friends didn't like this other than me, gee I am the weird one.
Miam Miam Spaghetti ($15.80), sauteed with frankfurters, bacon, tomatoes, baby spinach, eggplant and a soft boiled egg.
It was said to be served in secret broth and french butter, but I don't taste it.
I find the taste similar to that of Hor Fan and I have no idea why.
Alright, I still prefer mine.
Lobster Bisque Pasta ($18.80) which is a highly recommended dish according to my friend.
It was a pity it wasn't as savoury as my friend thought it would be.
Next up!
DESSERTSSSSSS!!
We chose three to be shared among the six of us!
The all-time favourite French Toast ($15.80) was indeed a real bomb.
Look at this, just look at it.
It just gets better with the maple syrup and whipped cream.
Those soft and fluffy sweet squares of toast just melts away in your mouth.
Of course, this deserves more photos!
Caramelised Banana Pancakes ($13.80).
You cant reject that mouthful of pancake together with that banana bathed in deep golden caramel sauce, can you?
Chocolate Molleaux ($9.80).
We were expecting the centre to ooze out chocolate lava but it didn't.
All is well because the richness and sinful chocolate cake saved the day, with the serving of softee.
And here's the beautiful girl who just turned 48!
JUST KIDDING, she is only 22 years old.
Our special friend here who never fails to bring a smile to our faces.
She is outgoing, friendly and sexy.
Hahaha, any takers?
A group photo of the four of us again!
Guess everything was good except that little complaint that I was the unlucky girl that got bitten by mosquitoes.
I ended up with 5 mozzie bumps that night. D:
