The Audacious Cakery is one of the many cafes that is located at Everton Park.
How to go : Outram Park Station, locate exit G and walk by the Police Cantonment Complex!
Who wouldn't love a little bakery like this to enjoy some afternoon tea after a meal?
We were the only ones there to dine in at that point of time.
I really love moments like this, quiet and peaceful, where you can dine in and away from the annoying crowds (that seems to be everywhere, peak hour or not).
How can I miss out this lovely showcase of pastries that is so pleasant to the eyes?
Don't you agree?
They look like little delicate art pieces sitting behind a thin sheet of glass panel.
There is also a section for Macrons lovers out there!!!
After much consideration, I finally made up my mind to go with a cake and cupcake.
Taadahhhhh! So pretty eh?
It's official, I am sure I would die happily of sweets!
Mister's Chocolate Soufflé ($6.80), made from dark chocolate with a crunchy chocolate biscuit base.
It was a chore to cut the tart since it's quite hard.
The chocolate aroma was undeniably fragrant but do remember to spam water after consuming.
It's really really sweeet.
The one I opted for was this.
Foret Noir ($9.80), one of the popular choices amongst the others.
I usually go for cake choices like this because, 1) Alcoholic, 2) Chocolate, & 3) Photogenic. (haha, just kidding, depends on my mood too)
This is black forest flavoured with Valrhona dark chocolate mousse, and and and the Kirsh soaked cherries are the bomb!
Every bite into every one of this pearl-like darling is simply a taste of heaven.
I know it costs alittle more for a small cake like that, but I am willing to pay if I think it is worth the bucks.
And this, is definitely worth it & a must-try!
Although in my own opinion, I still think it comes second to the one (Little Red Riding Hood) I had at Kki Sweets.
Second doesn't mean it is bad okay? So try it!
S'mores Cupcake ($4).
Love the homemade Marshmallow topping to bits!
I don't usually go for cupcakes but my soul was sold to the devil with the word mentioned :"S'mores".
However, I think it's really good cause' I think the base of the cupcake was made to perfection, dense and moist just the way I like it.
The sweetness is also of the right amount.
I don't do sweet-to-death cupcakes (might as well pour that bag of sugar into my mouth).
Here's to ending the post with a cupcake pose.
Thanks for reading!
