Sun Ray Cafe Review : Happiness comes from Within

As the tagline suggest, "Happiness comes from Within."
Sun Ray Cafe is a humble eatery which is pet friendly, packaged with pleasant dining experience as well as good food.
You will find this cafe located in a quiet corner of the Serangoon Gardens Estate, just beside 'The Coffee Daily" which I have yet to visit.
Heh, look at the entrance made for pets!
Coffee anyone?
If I happened to live near the area, I would take-away their coffee everyday.
Yes, I will.
I was quite surprised to find myself in a relatively empty cafe on a Friday night.
There weren't any pets when we arrived at the cafe as well.
But I have to say I love the simple yet homey decorations in the cafe.
The cakes on sale for the day. Didn't had any of these because I was too full from the desserts we had earlier on.
What a pity.
I guess the menu was abit disorganized.
There are just way too many words in the menu I suppose.
For the cold brews, you can also bring in your own containers and take them away.
Do check with the staff if you would like to have some beverages to bring home.
They offer set menus as well!
Oven-Baked Escargot in Garlic Butter Sauce ($9).
This is a must-order!
We only ordered half dozen because Mister doesn't fancy seafood.
Yes, that meant all six of them were mine!
The escargots were really rich in flavour and fresh as well.
And for the price paid, it's really worth for money.
So do try if you fancy some affordable escargots as appetizers!
Mister's favourite Iced Mocha ($6).
Dayumm, thumbs up for the mocha!
Quality checked.
Truffle Fries ($8)
It was alright but I would still prefer the ones we had at Habitat Coffee.
Mister's Seabass w Potato Broth ($22).
It was a pity they ran out of hollandaise sauce for the breakfast menu, which was why I didn't order any and Mister ordered this instead.
But but but the seabass was surprisingly great!!!
The broth compliment the fish so well, it almost brought this dish to fine-dining worthy.
We had an enjoyable dinner and would definitely return for more surprises!
.
I got to know that they conduct coffee lessons too!
