"Good Food Is The Foundation of Genuine Happiness."
Totally agree to this quote.
Recently, I just joined the workforce again and have been busy resting my tired legs.
So I decided it's about time to spend my off days wisely instead of hiding at home.
And here we are, at the West side of Singapore!
How to get here?
You can check the website for detailed info, but as for me, we took the bus 78 from Clementi Station and alighted at the 3rd bus stop.
Once you alight, cross the road to the opposite side and find the road sign that says Jln Mas Puteh!
Walk along the shophouses towards the end and ta-dah!
Love the simple yet vibrant colours of the cafe.
Really glad that they have more seating at the al-fresco area.
Although we didn't make any reservations, we (4pax) were seated shortly cause' we agreed to sit outdoor.
How can you not take a tourist shot with the big logo?
Our weekend brunch menu.
Simple decorations like these definitely adds on to the cozy home-styled ambience.
They have an interesting range of breads available for sale as well!
And of course the fridge.
My idea of highlight : Desserts!
This really catches my eye, much more than the highly-raved Rainbow cake.
Counter bathed in stripes.
There are more little knick-knacks available for sale on the counter.
All these totally brought back memories from my childhood, the candies, the country flag erasers, and of course, the styrofoam planes etc.
Love how they simply used plates as a centerpiece on the wall.
...
And so, here is what we ordered!!!
Iced Cafe Mocha ($6.70)
Caffeine fix is a must!
Recommendable Mocha I would say!
For starters, we had Seared Tuna ($12.50).
Slices of tuna fillet bathed in light wasabi mayo, homemade avocado salsa, soy glaze, trout caviar and shiso leaves.
Close-up shot!
Look at those roe!
Appreciate how this dish was being presented!
Eggs Benedict ($10)
A must for eggs benedict lovers?
And the three of us ordered the Hearty Breakfast ($16) which included everything you would want your brunch plate to have.
The butter top loaf which is being served is also for sale at the bread counter!
The highlight!
Mister Chocolate ($6.80) w Ice Cream ($8.80)
This was so good that we finished it within 5 minutes even though each of us claimed that we were too full to eat anything else.
Haha!
Chocolate lovers do look out for this!!!
Happy Jie-Mei Taos with le tummies satisfied.
Hee, cafe-hopping ends here for now.
Till the next time, folks!
Thanks for reading! ^^
