Top Ten Street Food You Must Try in Bangkok!

I believe most of us have been to Thailand before, especially Bangkok!
What is there not to love from the 'Land of Smiles', the shopping paradise for most girls as well as the fabulous food?!
So I decided to share this list of my personal TOP 10 favourite street food for you guys.
Scroll down to walk through this with me, and see if you agree too!
...................................................................................
#1: Ultimate Crispy Chicken Drumstick
...................................................................................
No fast food's chicken can beat this version of crispiness.
None.
Be it I am having a 'I-am-in-a-foreign-country-and-everything-taste-so-bloody-awesome' mindset or my tastebuds gone haywire, this is heaven.
Also available in chicken wings and chicken skin.
As well as Chicken Breast!
Protein alert but fried! Ha!
I swear I only do this when I go overseas.
Snapping a selfie in the middle of nowhere with my food!
...................................................................................
#2 : Mini Quail Sunny Side Up
...................................................................................
I am kinda an egg fanatic so these little pops are definitely as addictive as they are half-boiled.
Together with a little seasoning and pepper, this is da bomb.
And what else can you ask from a mere 20THB (which is less than 1SGD).
This can be my breakfast everyday!
Absolute happiness when you can find these whilst shopping.
...................................................................................
#3 : Sausage Crepe
...................................................................................
Simple ingredients I know.
But trust me, these simple rolls really did the trick when you feel like there is a need to fill that tiny empty space in your tummy.
And I swear Thais have a way with seasoning and stuff.
This actually reminds me of the Ramly Burger which are available in night markets (Pasar Malam) in Singapore.
Well of course, without the bread.
Sad to say the ones we had at the weekend market, Chatuchak was way better the ones we had at Pratunam morning street food stalls.
...................................................................................
#4 : Grilled Octopus
...................................................................................
If you love Octopus, you really have to try this!
With a dash of the unique Thai Sweet Chilli sauce, this is good to go.
...................................................................................
#5 : Stir-fried Garlic Pork
...................................................................................
Many of you might be much more familiar with this, which is also served with rice here in most of the local Thai cuisine restuarants and coffeeshops.
Be sure to spam water after these under the merciless hot sun in Thailand!
The fragrance of garlic is simply hard to forget.
...................................................................................
#6 : Quail Egg in Crispy Wanton
...................................................................................
Dope.
The crunchiness of the outer wanton and the combination of the soft yet warm quail egg inside, with an addition of the sweet chilli sauce...Dear god.
I only managed to have this at the Chatuchak Weekend Market.
...................................................................................
#7 : Uniquely Thai Coconut Ice Cream
...................................................................................
And this as well (Chatuchak)!
There aren't many stalls like that so if you happen to see this, you ought to try it!
Coconut husks served as the container for your ice cream.
You can also add in toppings.
Other than the atap seeds and corn I can't actually figure what the rest are.
But if you are feeling adventurous, why not try some?
Many crowd around this ice cream stall, do look out for it!
...................................................................................
#8 : Thai Iced Coffee
...................................................................................
How can your morning be complete without an iced coffee?
There are actually many stalls selling this.
And of course, 25THB is around 1SGD.
Do scroll up if you forgot the size of the cup.
Initially, when I first took a sip, I thought I was going to die of diabetes.
But please give it a chance by letting the ice melt a little.
I guarantee you a surprise.
...................................................................................
#9 : Condensed Milk Prata (Thai Style)
...................................................................................
Another one over here which I thought my arms and legs would be cut.
More of a dessert I would say, so if you have a sweet tooth, do try it.
The condensed milk, I think they just poured half of the can.
Haha!
But still, two or three small square pieces won't hurt.
(Tip: share it with your friends. Heh)
...................................................................................
#10 : Little Yam Bites
...................................................................................
You all must be wondering what is this.
Because, I was also thinking the same when I first saw it.
Well, I am willing to try it unless you are telling me there are insect or bug crackers inside.
THEN HELL NO!
I saw that only the locals were having it, and so the curious one decided to try this.
There are different ingredients added as well.
I opted for the mixed ones which include, Original(Yam only) / Yam w Sweet Corn / Yam w Coconut.
Just put this and let the yam burst in your mouth.
Splendid.
...................................................................................
...................................................................................
SPECIAL ADDITION: A Definitely MUST-TRY!!!
Mcdonald's Samurai Pork Burger.
...................................................................................
...................................................................................
As all the Mcdonalds in Singapore are Halal Certified, we couldn't have any pork items on the fast food menu.
So please, if you get to Thailand, just order this.
In addition with the crispy fries, Mcdonalds will never be the same again.
On my last day back to Singapore, I went to get this as my dinner on the way to airport.
Ahhhh, I really miss this.
-inserts drools-
...
So here concludes the end of the post!
What else did I miss?
Do comment and share with the others too!
Thanks for reading and go nomnom! ^^
