Department of Caffeine (D.O.C) Review

As most of the cafes are closed on Mondays, we decided to pay a visit to the one which is open.

It is located approximately in between Outram Park and Tanjong Pagar station.

I guess it would be nearer if you alight at Tanjong Pagar and take a short walk there.

We reached the cafe at around 1 plus in the afternoon and it was really really crowded.

My friend and I waited for a short while before we got ourselves a table.

Well, prolly because it's full house, we didn't really get any service.

We had to find seats ourselves.

No one brought us the menu, and we had to clean the table.

But all is well cause' we are seated near the cashier area.

Went to take the menu myself! 

All words. Yeah I know.

And here was what we had!!!

Feeling dehydrated from the warm weather, both of us decided to go for some cold drinks.

Elderflower Lemonade vs. Ginger & Fresh Mint Lemonade!!!

My friend had this, Ginger & Fresh Mint Lemonade ($5.50).

I was quite skeptical about the mixture when I saw the word, "Ginger".

But to my surprise, it was pretty refreshing.

I guess it' s mainly due to the addition of the mint leaves.

Reminds me of the mocktail version of Mojito.

Not bad.

And this is my Elderflower Lemonade ($5.50).

Which was good as well, it was much more sour as compared to my friend's.

Chose Smoked Salmon Scramble ($15) because it is "NEW!" on the menu.

I am a huge fan of Salmon, so I guess the smoked salmon was pretty well done.

The salmon portion given was adequate for the price paid in my opinion.

Love the butter toasted english muffins too! 

Overall, it was satisfactory.

Up next, Waffles!

Friend of mine ordered this because we were informed that they ran out of Mains already!

WHUT. 

So the poor boy had desserts for lunch. 

Buttermilk Waffles with Rum Ice Cream ($12.50)

And it seemed like the waffles are really popular!

Ain't a great fan of waffles but the boy was satisfied with his order.

So I guess this is a must try too!
